While wandering through Asakusa, near Tokyo today I stumbled across a store selling these ‘Ketai Ornaments’.

In Japan the phones have a little area for you to hook on a small pendant, similar to a keychan – but on a bit of string. These ‘tattooed baby’ ones were the coolest I have seen in a long time!

Pretty toppy at 1000円 (about 10 US$) but looking online they seem to be selling for 1450円 so it looks like I’ve missed a trick!

Anyway hope you like the photo’s, there are 7 styles to choose from, each with a Japanese style full body tattoo… These guys are pretty small, about 2cm from top to toe, and they didn’t look particularly good quality so wouldn’t expect the tattoo to last very long!

There was also a BIG one advertising these things, and that was excellent, was a couple of foot tall, and the tattoo was painted on by a tattoo artist, and that looked great, although it wasn’t for sale when I asked unfortunately!
