Saw this over at Jason Dunns blog and it certainly raised a smile here, so I thought I would share!

Being a type 1 is a lot of work. My life revolves around my disease. It controls my life day in and day out. About a year ago, I started thinking about having my first tattoo done focused on being a diabetic and incorporating everything about me in the tattoo.

We're excited to be able to introduce a first of a type post for us here at Tattoo Tokyo, an interview with a Tattoo Artist. This weeks inaugural interview is with Trent from Expressive Ink Tattoo Studio in NJ, he's been tattooing for over 8 years and we're stoked to be able to ask him some questions about his studio, tattoo's, influences and life in general.

Brilliant photograph of potentially a Yakuza member at the Asakusa festival. Great coverage, and very detailed ink work. I thought it looked very well shaded, obviously from a talented Tattoo artist.
